I'm 100% with you on this one.
The "privilege" point is a particular thorn - that people have never experienced a challenge they could not run from, turn off or tune out says a great deal about someone's background.
In addition, the "good vibes only" crowd tend to turn away those that are struggling the most - often in very mentally unwell spaces. They preach the good, but actually ostracise significant minorities. Imagine a hospital that said, "Nope, not taking you, we're getting some bad vibes here..."
I just wrote an article about the issues with optimism - similar bias, similar problems arise. Well done
