Thank you for this critical analysis of race and suicide statistics. You focus heavily on the role of shame - certainly an important factor.

Do you believe that shame is a differentiating factor between Black and non-Black suicide? In other words, do the studies show that Black youth are feeling more self-shame than other youth? Or is this not correlational to the data?
