I especially appreciate your recognition that everyone will have a different path towards survivorhood. It is too east to oversimplify the path and the decision, to make it seem as though anyone can overcome any barrier.

Suicide statistics show that is simply not true.

And you acknowledge that some people will never fully heal.

It's remarkable that you have built a life for yourself after everything you went through, and that you made such a life-changing decision at only 13.
